MY ANGLICAN HERITAGE

TRADITIONAL ANGLICAN MASS - DEMONSTRATION

Understanding the beauty, meaning and reverence of Anglican worship.

Our Purpose

To provide a clear and faithful resource for understanding Anglican liturgical worship, its biblical foundations, sacramental life, prayers, ceremonies, seasons and symbols, and the reverence with which the Church approaches Almighty God.

This section seeks to explain not only what we do in worship, but why we do it, helping clergy and laity alike to participate more consciously, prayerfully, and faithfully in the Divine Liturgy.

This website is intended to be an information and teaching resource only. It is not intended to be a discussion forum or social media platform.

Ordered Worship

Prayer, Scripture and Sacred Order

Anglican liturgical worship is marked by an ordered pattern of prayer, Scripture, confession, praise, thanksgiving and sacramental life.

The Book of Common Prayer has historically shaped this pattern, giving generations of Anglicans a common language of worship through which the Church gathers faithfully before God.

Its forms of worship express the conviction that Christian worship should be offered with dignity, reverence,  understanding and faithful devotion.

Words to Read
Remember and Follow

The words of Our Lord Jesus Christ reside at the heart of the Christian faith. Through them we hear His call to faith, repentance, prayer, love, obedience, mercy, and holiness.

This section brings together selected sayings of Our Lord as recorded in Holy Scripture, that they may be read attentively and returned to often for prayer, meditation, instruction, and the ordering of our Christian lives.

The purpose is simple: to hear the words of Christ, receive them faithfully, and keep them in our hearts.
