The Throne of God And The Throne of the Lamb
Humans, mortal beings, have determined that “THE HOLY SPIRIT” is the THIRD PERSON of the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit).
Humans also claim that the “HOLY SPIRIT” is the “MOST MYSTERIOUS” member of the TRIUNE GODHEAD.
But when we study the Scriptures seriously, we realise that the Holy Spirit is not an additional person, but indeed another name for God and that HE revealed this to us at the very beginning.
⇒ Genesis 1:2 and St. John 4:24 Record that God is SPIRIT.
⇒ Psalm 99:9 Records that God is HOLY
2 St. John 1:9
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. HE THAT ABIDETH IN THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, HE HATH BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON.” You can see that there is absolute silence of the 3rd Person.
Scripture verses in the book of Revelation show only TWO THRONES. The following verses have two things in common:
Revelation 3:21-22
“To him that over cometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, AND am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Two separate individuals. The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 5:13
“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, AND unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 7:10
“And they were crying out in a loud voice, saying: “Salvation to our God, the
One sitting on the Throne, AND to the Lamb!” The 3rd Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 11:15
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord [God] and then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven,
saying, “The Kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord AND of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.” The 3rd Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 12:10
“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, AND the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
REVELATION 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God AND of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 21:22
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty AND the Lamb are the temple of it. The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
Revelation 22:1
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, PROCEEDING from the Throne of God AND of the Lamb. The 3rd. Person is not mentioned.
The Apostle John has painfully recorded A DISTINCTION between GOD and JESUS CHRIST. With so many references without God The Holy Spirit only goes to prove Genesis 1:2 “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
I, therefore, am of the opinion that the verse posted by Rev Nelson refers to the Second Judgement – The Judgement that is to happen a thousand years after the reign of the Lamb (Jesus).
